Our Services

We develop a unique approach to treatment for each project based on the specific individual needs of the window. Our main aim is to sympathetically preserve the integrity of the artwork whilst supporting the preservation of original materials wherever possible. We have extensive experience of carrying out cleaning and repairs in situ, as well as removing stained glass for treatment in the studio where necessary. We have worked on a wide range of damage, from vandalism and fire damage, to mould and damp, paint loss and storm damage. It is sometimes necessary to take preventive measures to preserve painted details and reduce the environmental pressures on a historic window by introducing a ventilated protective glazing system. We are able to design, manufacture and install these in-house. We have experience of working with architects, clients, and committees to ensure the best approaches are taken.

We welcome enquiries for new stained glass designs for secular and ecclesiastical settings. We will work with you to develop a tailor made design to suit your themes, interests or ideas. If you are not quite sure what you would like we will work with you to explore this and develop proposals based on our discussions. We like to understand the full context of the site, its light conditions, interior and exterior surroundings, to ensure we create the perfect piece of art for your proposed location. We are also able to create bespoke stained glass with back lit display, for the non architectural setting.

We are able to offer in depth illustrated reports, surveys or treatment proposals for individual windows or entire schemes. We work in consultation with Icon accredited conservators to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained. As members of the BSMGP, Icon, and SPAB we ensure we are at the forefront of best practice.
