About Woodside Stained Glass

Hello! My name is Megan, I am the freelance stained-glass artist and conservator behind Woodside Stained Glass Studio. I completed a BA (Hons) in Architectural Glass at Swansea Metropolitan University where I received a comprehensive training in traditional and contemporary stained-glass design and techniques. My new stained glass is inspired by nature and the historic stained glass I have studied and conserved. I am also a qualified stained-glass conservator, having completed an MA in Stained Glass Conservation and Heritage Management at the University of York. I am a member of the British Society of Master Glass Painters and the Institute for Conservation.

Quality of craftsmanship, inclusivity and sustainability are at the heart of my work. I When I am not busy conserving or creating stained glass, I love to get out into nature with my son Rory and am involved in support work within the autism and ADHD community.

The York Consortium for Conservation and Craftsmanship provided funding towards my MA fees and the cost of studio equipment.
